Join local author Elaine Russell at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 15, in the Folsom Public Library Meeting Room for an engaging discussion about her historical novel, When the Tamarind Tree Blooms, set in 1931 French colonial Laos. Russell will share how her deep connection to Laos inspired her to write this novel and the extensive research she conducted in Laos, France, and California. Using both English and French resources, along with insights from colleagues and friends, she brings to life a compelling story set in this unique period of history.
