SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (MPG) - Sacramento County’s Office of Economic Development (OED) invites residents, business owners and stakeholders to participate in shaping the county’s updated Economic Development Strategic Plan (EDSP)​. Three community meetings, two in-person and one virtual, will provide opportunities for the public to share insights and help craft a shared vision for Sacramento County’s economic future.

These meetings are part of the county’s ongoing effort to create a comprehensive roadmap that supports equitable economic growth, job creation and resource prioritization.

The first in-person community meeting will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 22 at the North Highlands Recreation and Park District at 6040 Watt Ave. in North Highlands. The second in-person meeting will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 22 at the Sacramento County Health Department at 7001 East Parkway, Suite A, Sacramento. Meeting objectives are to hear from community members about economic development priorities; collaborate on a shared vision that reflects collective goals for Sacramento County; and inform the development of an inclusive economic development strategy.

These events are open to all Sacramento County residents, workers and business owners, and focus on addressing the needs of unincorporated areas. Your participation is vital to ensure the updated strategy reflects the diverse perspectives and priorities of our community.
