CARMICHAEL, CA (MPG) - Carmichael Parks Foundation is hosting its fifth Dinner in the Park on Sept. 7 at 5 p.m. at Jensen Botanical Garden located at 8520 Fair Oaks Blvd. This popular event is a music-filled gourmet dinner that helps provide youth scholarships, as well as park beautification.

The evening will start with a reception at Sutter Community Garden where attendees can sip complimentary wine or beer amongst the towering sunflowers, meet and greet friends, and listen to the jazz stylings of the Henry Robinett Trio.

Next, attendees will stroll down the shaded olive tree-lined trail to the Charles Jensen Botanical Garden and enjoy three additional musical groups along the way. At the end of the trail, elaborately dressed dining tables await them where they will be served a family-style gourmet meal consisting of on-site barbequed tri-tip and Mary’s chicken, and seasonal side dishes prepared by Hawks Public House. Attendees can relax with friends and colleagues in the shaded beauty of Jensen Botanical Garden.

Finally, attendees will dance under the stars to Todd Morgan and the Emblems. It will be a night to remember.

Kitty O’Neil will be navigating the evening as Master of Ceremonies and Skip Wahl of Skip’s Kitchen will be auctioning off some prize packages, as well as offering fund-a-need opportunities to support youth programs.
